About Me
My name is Adam Jarvis.
I have over 15 years experience in UK commercial archaeology, specialising in GIS analysis and Data Management, along with 6 years aerial imagery interpretation and mapping.
I'm an Associate member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists. I've presented experience-based papers and been involved in discussion panels at several Archaeology conferences about the challenges and benefits that being Dyslexic has brought to my career.
Expertise
I've led GIS development and data management for Airborne Remote Sensing analysis relating to Offshore Wind Farms, Solar Farms, housing developments and national Infrastructure projects.
This work involved interpretation of Historic Aerial Photographs,
LiDAR data, Hyper/MultiSpectral and Satellite imagery across the UK.
Services
AP Interpretation
- Review of APs for Desk-Based Assessment in the Historic England archive.
- Provision of a short overview report of what was there with a map.
- No travel costs involved.
- Same day turnaround for map and data for morning appointments.
Data Analysis and Illustration
- Smaller consultancies and Units can have peaks in demand on illustrations being produced. If needed, I can work to various templates and guidelines to assist in any high-demand periods.
- Over 10 years experience in both QGIS and ArcGIS (ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro)
Lidar
- I’ve been interpreting and processing Lidar for 8 years.
- Advanced lidar processing including point cloud.
- Specialist Visualisations and interpretation.
Design work
- As well as archaeological work, I also provide graphic design services for adverts and posters.
- Inclusivity is built in – dyslexic friendly fonts and colours.
